Şahin Latifeci (b. 1997, Diyarbakır) earned his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Painting at Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and his master’s degree from the Department of Art at Yıldız Technical University, where he completed a thesis titled “Indicators of Identity in Contemporary Art.” He held his first solo exhibition, “Peripheral Neuropathy,” in Antalya in 2023. Latifeci’s work addresses themes such as identity, autobiographical memory, and social justice. Having participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions—most notably BASE (2025) “Boundaries and Possibilities,” the Intercontinental Biennial (Brazil, 2025), and the Tirana Video Art Festival (2025)—the artist most recently saw his work “Camouflage” included in the Climate Art Collection (Berlin).
